A custom wedding song is a creative collaboration. Sometimes the first cut isn't the right one — that's why every package includes a free revision. Here's exactly how revisions, refunds, and edge cases work.
The summary in plain English
Every package includes one free revision (Heirloom includes two). If after the revision you're still not happy, we'll work with you to make it right or refund you, depending on circumstances. We treat wedding-day stakes seriously and will go out of our way to fix problems that aren't your fault.
1. The free revision included with every package
- Keepsake ($149) — one free revision, requested within 7 days of delivery
- Signature ($229) — one free revision, requested within 7 days of delivery
- Heirloom ($399) — two free revisions, requested within 14 days of delivery
A revision is a single round of changes to lyrics, vocal styling, instrumentation, mood, or arrangement. We'll do our best to incorporate your feedback into a new version delivered within 48 hours of receiving your revision request.
2. What counts as a free revision
Free — we got it wrong
The genre or feel doesn't match what your quiz answers and brief asked for. The vocal is the wrong gender from what you specified. Lyrics misspell a name you provided. The arrangement is missing instruments your brief specified. Audio quality is technically defective.
Billable — you changed your mind
You changed your mind about a name, lyric, or detail you'd previously approved. You want a totally different style after we delivered your chosen one. You want a remix or alternate cut after revision is used. Requests made more than 7 days post-delivery (Keepsake/Signature) or 14 days (Heirloom).
Billable revisions are quoted at $79 per round — we'll always tell you upfront before doing the work.
3. The 7-day satisfaction guarantee
If after using your free revision you're genuinely unhappy with the result and feel we didn't deliver what your brief asked for, contact us within 7 days of the revised delivery. We'll either:
- Offer a second free revision (your choice)
- Refund your purchase in full and let you keep the audio file
- Refund 50% and provide an additional revision (negotiated case-by-case)
This guarantee applies once per order. We honor it generously — wedding songs are emotional purchases and we want you happy.
4. Refunds before delivery
- Within 24 hours of order, before we begin work: 100% refund, no questions asked
- After we've started but before first delivery: 50% refund (we've already invested production time)
- After first delivery: see the satisfaction guarantee in section 3
5. Wedding-day-near scenarios
If your wedding is within 7 days and there's a genuine problem with your song, we treat it as a P1 issue. Email info@aislesong.com with "URGENT — wedding [date]" in the subject and we will respond within 4 hours during business days, 12 hours otherwise. We'll fast-track a redo or arrange a refund as needed.
We do recommend you finalize approval at least 14 days before your wedding date. Last-minute approvals leave little room for revision rounds.
6. What we won't refund
- Orders where you have used and approved a revision and only the satisfaction-guarantee refund window remains, but you've passed that 7-day window
- Orders for changes outside what your original quiz answers and brief specified (those become billable revisions, see section 2)
- Orders where you've already published the song commercially or distributed it beyond personal use, in violation of the licensing in our Terms of Service
- Wedding-day equipment failures, internet outages, or your venue's playback issues — that's not our scope
7. Process for requesting a revision or refund
Email info@aislesong.com with:
- Your order number (in your confirmation email)
- Whether you want a revision or refund
- If revision: specifically what isn't working — be as concrete as possible. "It feels too slow" is harder to act on than "the tempo around 1:20 is too slow, can we lift it for the chorus."
- If refund: a brief explanation so we can improve the service
We respond within one business day. Refunds are processed via Stripe and typically appear in your account within 5–10 business days.
8. Backup recommendation
Once your song is approved, download a copy and keep it backed up locally. We strongly recommend not relying on streaming the song on your wedding day. Your DJ should have a downloaded copy in advance.
